Workshop:

Taking a Strategic Approach to DEI Through Intersectional Action Planning

Dates and Locations:
  • Sydney: May 24, 2024
  • Melbourne: May 31, 2024
Timing:

13:00 – 17:00

While specific action plans for priority diversity groups are helpful and necessary, there is also significant benefit in taking a step back from all the action plans, seeing the common and overlapping items, and pulling together an action plan consisting of the strategic DEI initiatives that will give you the most return on investment.

This half-day, practical and interactive workshop delivered by Inclusion & Diversity Solutions will explore:

  • Business case and evidence base for intersectional action planning
  • Case studies where intersectional action plans have brought about accelerated results in DEI
  • How you can go about taking an intersectional approach to your DEI work
  • Give you the opportunity to start writing your own intersectional action plan which is aligned to your level of organisational maturity, along with success measures

By the end of the workshop, participants will have made a start on writing their own intersectional action plan (award-winning template will be provided) and will therefore be able to identify some of the critical initiatives that will have the most impact on DEI in their organisation.
